Is it possible to get rendered math formulas in the forum? Maybe with some sort of MathJax plugin?
We already have this; see this post.
I have noticed a few times in which the MathJax doesn’t load properly… I’m not sure what causes this, but if you notice it, the internet tells me that clearing your cache could help; if that still doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll rebuild the site (which pulls the latest version of the plugin in case something needed fixing).
Can we add a button to the toolbar in the response edit field? So that it is easier to discover?
I’m not aware of any configuration options to modify what’s in the Markdown toolbar… The plugin we use is https://github.com/kasperpeulen/discourse-mathjax if you want to make an issue there.
