Spiking LMU Hardware implementation Query

Hello Guys,

I have been playing around with the nengo off and on for the last few years and I was wondering how the nodes in the spiking LMU model you present in nengo DL would be represented in hardware. The neurons in the ensemble I understand as being a collection of LIF circuits (depending on the neuron model of course) but as the Node is somewhat more abstract I am unsure of what it physically represents. If I wanted to have a hardware implementable version of the LMU cell, would the memory cell node and the input node Ut need to be swapped for ensembles?
